Candle Magic

Candle magic is a wonderful way to manifest your desires. All you need is a candle in the color representing your intention. (Red=Passion, Pink=Love Green=Money, Blue=Communication etc)

If compelled to do so, carving the candle with words or symbols that are special to you also increase its power. As does anointing it with a special oil or bathing it in the smoke of incense. Crystals also increase the energy of magic, feel free to add a grid that supports your intent.

Working with a specific deity, one that supports your wish, also intensifies your manifestation power. If not compelled to work with a deity you don’t have to.

What to do:

Sit with candle in your hands, and charge it with your energy. Keeping your intention strong. You can visualize your intent or chant your intent aloud. When you feel ready open your eyes and light the candle, while doing so say something like:

“As this fire burns so does my desire
Take this fire________ (name of god/goddess/diety)
I thank you for hearing my wishes
Please carry them up
Please give me the strength & determination I need to make my wish of _____ a reality.
Thank you _____

As I will it, So shall it be.”

The above photograph and chant are my original words and work. You can make your own chant of course, and use this as a starting point. Depending on how strict you are with ceremony you can perform a whole opening your space for magic ritual, silently call in your protection or simply draw the protective pentagram into the air around the space you are working in. Everyone practices differently, so this part is really up to you. After the work is done you can close your circle and bid farewell to any helping energies and guides you asked to be with you.

Make the ritual of candle burning for magic your own, own your power, and make sure your intention is strong. Blessed Be Blessed Be Blessed Be.

Lilith: The Triple Goddess in Astrology

A true Pisces, I have my fins in many rivers. One of them being Astrology. I divine the stars with clients, take classes to further my own knowledge and often spend many late nights studying Esoteric Astrology. I'm kind of obsessed.

When I found out we can actually find Lilith in our charts I was amazed. I was quick to inject my chart with the missing info to see what house and sign this mystical Goddess was ruling. Can you guess what it was? Pisces 8th house conjunct my Sun..take a look at this blog, are you surprised? I'm not. :)

In astrology there are actually three Liliths! Yes, I said three and you need to do a little bit of work to locate them. Hey, she's not going to make it easy for you!

The Three Liliths:

Asteroid Lilith
1181
Crescent Moon
She is found orbiting in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter

Asteroid Lilith takes about four years to orbit the Sun. This asteroid represents the demonized aspects of the feminize. The parts of us that are shamed or deemed dangerous. In the chart this asteroid shows where we struggle with social judgments that define how we should express our femininity. Were we struggle because we don't tit in, or where we may not be seen clearly by others. This asteroid prominent in a chart can indicate a woman who does not "fit it" or experiences some form of exile in her life.

Keywords: feminism, exile, equality, unconventional, confrontational, rebellion, sacred prostitute, Lilith against Adam in Paradise

Dark Moon Lilith
(Also known as Waldermath)
h58
New Moon
Believed to be the Earths second Moon

Dark Moon Lilith circles the Earth and is only seen on rare occasions when it is opposite the Sun. The existence of the moon has not been verified by astronomers, but has been seen. It spends about 10 days in each sign. Dark Moon Lilith represents our creative instincts and primal emotions. In astrology the energy of this moon is best used for spiritual, objective and creative expression. Her location in the chart shows us an area where we must grow beyond our early emotional conditioning. There is deep pain in this placement, this energy is powerful and can become very dark and vengeful if it remains unhealed.

Keywords: The Shadow, rage, vengeance, emotional pain, anti mother, catharsis, demon goddess Lilith.

Black Moon Lilith
(Also known as Osculating Moon)
h13
Full Moon
A geometrical point in space

My favorite! Black Moon Lilith is the essence of the mystery behind Lilith. BML is a geometrical point (like the rising sign in astrology). The Moon's path around the Earth is elliptical, therefore has two centers, one of the them is the Moon (lunar) the other is BML. She spends about 9 months in each sign. In astrology BML is also described as the apogee of the Moon's orbit. In the chart BML represents where we can reach deeper truth, have soul rattling relationships, and experiences the world from our Soul's point of view. In this area we must feel, let go and surrender to the primal energy in us. The fiery passion of our soul can be found here.

Keywords: Magic, sex, psychic healing, shamanism, kundalini, magnetism, occult knowledge, Lilith as the serpent in the Garden of Eden.

Lilith & I, A Love Story: A little about me and what Lilith means in my chart

Asteroid Lilith: 8 degrees Pisces 8th house (conjunct my Sun)

This is the rebellious, sexy, alternative lifestyle aspect of Lilith. She conjuncts my Sun, the sun is my core expression, my core self. The 8th house is the house of sex, death and other peoples money. It's also the house where we merge with spirit, esoteric knowledge and on a soul level with others. I've always have deeply intense (for good or ill) relationships, crazed mergings that left the both of us dazed. I have also been into esoteric and taboo subjects from a very early age. I almost went to college for mortuary science! I took criminal psychology classes for fun and became a solitary witch at age 13. I also went through every hair color possible, almost every piercing and now I'm just fine with tattoos. I also hate labels, let's just say Pan had the right idea. As far as exile and fitting in, I never did. Even the time I tried hard too. I even scared off some partners and friends in the past because they could not stuff me into a "ideal" stereotype.

Dark Moon Lilith: 0 degrees Scorpio 3/4th house border (conjunct my Pluto)

This is the hurt/vengeful side of Lilith. Pluto is the planet of power, sexuality and transformation. This powerful energy is sitting on the cusp of my 3rd house (communication, siblings, the mind) and
4th house (the home, family, roots). I had a very hard relationship with my mother most of my life, and my home life was difficult to put it nicely. I took so long to speak as a child that doctors though I had speech issues and my siblings saw me as this mean, cold and dark person due to my protective wall I had up. I felt powerless most of my youth and became very violent in my preteen years (against myself and others), instilling fear in others gave me a power I never had before. I must add, the violence was not random. I was overweight and not the most attractive of the bunch, so I took my violence out on those who teased me only. Not innocent bystanders. The anger in me was dangerous, I knew this. And made a conscious decision to change at 16, I was fearful of how much darker I would get if I did not make a change. Now, as a shamanic witch and astrologer I feel deep power in my work and my connection with others. I have healed and channeled my Dark Moon Lilith/Pluto energy.

Black Moon Lilith: 3 degrees Pisces 8th house (conjunct my Mercury)

BML is the magnetic, occult knowledge seeking, hypnotic and healing goddess aspect of Lilith. She conjuncts my Mercury, the planet of the mind the communication. All of this goes down in my transformative 8th house.  This post is a prime example of this pairing...it's this energy in action! I'm a writer, before all the other stuff I do. I write about the deep, dark experiences humans have. I like to go deep, dig under the surface and come out the other side. Transformation is a deep theme in my life, in many ways. I'm very connected to past lives, I have lived many and have a very old soul. I feel I am putting to practice now talents from past lives. My mission now is sharing my message, communicating what I know. If you are reading this you can see I'm making small steps, but progress non the less. As for the shamanic element of this Lilith, once I discovered shamanism there was no turning back, It changes my life and healed some deep wounds.

Lilith

The Dark Goddess, the Owl Goddess, The Temptress, The Dark Maid, Mother of Demons...

Lilith is a Sumerian Goddess, a Goddess of many names and stories. Little is known of this mysterious powerful goddess, and the stories available to us are not written in stone. I have learned the best way to learn about Lilith is to tune in to her, to listen to her, to connect to your inner Lilith.

There are many stories about Lilith's beginnings. In Hebrew legends Lilith is a dangerous and beautiful goddess who was Adams first wife. She refused to submit to Adam, to perform the way a woman was expected too. Lilith was punished for her crime of disobedience by being banished from Paradise. From that moment on she was the known as the unruly "goddess of demons." Sound familiar? In our times a women who does not confirm, or submit, or just lay down and shut up is labeled a number of unpleasant things as well. Furthermore in Jewish folklore, Lilith is known as a sexual vampire, a Succubus who would come to men at night and cause wet dreams.

Lilith is associated with freedom, playfulness, pleasure and sexuality. Her symbols are the Owl, snake and apples.

Currently, Lilith has better word of mouth. She is known as an independent Goddess, a confident and proudly sexual woman who refused to submit to her husband. A woman who would rather leave Paradise than submit to a man's wills.

Has Lilith come to you? Ask yourself what are you afraid of? Where do you need to regain your freedom? What is your relationship to your sexuality and your power?

"I'm not afraid of you anymore." She said as she stepped into the darkness.

I encountered Lilith a number of years ago. I was younger, just out of a very mentally abusive but sexually exciting relationship and deep into a bad run of relationships with males. I was at the point where I realized how much of myself I was giving away, I was dis-empowered, angry and disconnected from my sexuality. I started to read the wonderful book Women Who Run With Wolves and made a point to erect a Goddess alter. I tried at least 5 different Goddesses, none of them were right. One night, up late listening to music I had a short story idea. My main characters name would be Lilith. I wrote it in one night, the healing and release that happened with this story was life changing. I looked up the name after the story was complete, I could not pin at that time where I knew the name from. During my work with Lilith I felt like Eve encountering Lilith in the Garden. Eve being given the power, support and information she needed to break free.

Now, in present time I have a deep, healing and energizing connection to Lilith, and to myself. I've worked heavily with her, and she is always present.

The Sirens have left the sea to play on land: Pisces Full Moon 9/2014

This is a very special Full Moon for me, for various reasons. I'm a Pisces, with Mercury and Lilith conjunct my Pisces Sun ... I know. I'm a siren living life on land this time around. It's also special because I had a downright awful and painful Aquarius Full Moon and an okay, one foot back on the ground Virgo New Moon. Now, the powerful mother is in my sign, and I know the painful cycle that was this summer has to be over. The moon will fill me with her healing and magical light, I will become renewed and regain my footing.

This Full Moon will also conjunct the wounded Healer Chiron. Talk about strong themes of healing, spirituality and salvation. This Chiron conjunct also tells us it's time to let go of something, to heal, to release the pain. It may be hard to make the ending final, but this powerful lunar trio is fully supporting us.

Surround yourself with those you feel safe with, sensitivity is high.., be careful of picking up unwanted energy or taking on others emotions. In magic work CALL IN PROTECTION, this is always important but even more so with a Full Moon in psychic and all feeling Pisces. Strong boundaries are essential to feel the full effect of the positive vibes of this moon.

As for the low vibes of this moon, watch for extreme escapism, alcoholism, drugs, disillusion, feeling like a victim, wearing rose colored glasses or over emotionalism. Be careful if you feel the need to self medicate or escape (all too easy with the combination) because you can go farther down the hole than you even have before. Instead go to a healer, practice healing work or play in the realm of spirit.

In the realm of Pisces...

Ways to tap into the ether (highest possible positive vibes) of Full Moon Pisces:

Dance under the moon, conduct a ritual, magic work, connect to Gaia, go to the ocean, create art/music, go on a spiritual journey, connect to spirit world/ancestors, shamanism, dream magic/astral travel, sex magic, ethereal love making, learn a divination skill, learn a healing modality, get a healing, go to a spiritual event.

Tarot Cards for this moon:

The Moon - Pisces - Emotions, Intuition, Water, other worlds

The Hanged Man - Pisces Ruler Neptune - Confusion, disillusionment, surrender, inspiration

The Hierophant - Chiron - The teacher, wisdom through experience, the gatekeeper, the healer

Pisces is ideal for these types of Spell work:

Spells for increasing intuition, psychic abilities, connecting with spirit, traveling to other worlds, psychedelics, high magic, water, endings, healing the past, making potions and elixirs.

Enjoy the Full Moon! It is exact on 9/8/14 at 9:38pm EDT.

Welcome to In the Temple of Lilith

Welcome to my Magick sharing blog. The intention of this blog is to share thoughts, writings, art and rituals of a magical nature. I do not encourage one to try something they don't want to do, or guarantee results for any spells that will be shared here. I will share a little about my results but please remember Magick work is deeply rooted in INTENTION, it is essentially MANIFESTATION work. And no one can manifest your desires but you.

I reconnected with my strong ancestral history of Witchcraft at the age of 13. Thanks to a little beaten up book in the neighborhood library I was home again. These days much of my work is heavily involved in Native American or Shamanic practice. I am a practicing, mostly solitary, Shamanic Earth Witch.

I love the work, and when I was growing up I traveled the road alone. My hope is some of the information shared on here, no matter how tiny will help inspire, empower or reassure another powerful witch out there who has not yet reclaimed her power.

Good vibes, love, empowerment and support are welcomed here. Negative vibes, hate or pure internet nonsense is banned from entering this space.

As I will it so shall it be. Blessed be. Blessed be. Blessed be.
